Typical Day in Role
• Partner with business stakeholders, compliance teams, operational risk groups, and governance leaders to support OSFI regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Analyze and interpret OSFI guidelines and regulatory expectations to identify business impacts, process gaps, and compliance requirements.
• Conduct current-state assessments and assist in developing future-state operating models aligned with regulatory standards.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, and working sessions to gather business requirements and document compliance obligations.
• Support policy reviews, procedure updates, governance documentation, and control framework alignment activities.
• Assist business units in tracking remediation items, action plans, compliance deliverables, and audit observations.
• Develop business process documentation, operational workflows, gap assessments, and regulatory readiness materials.
• Coordinate with internal audit, risk management, compliance, and operational teams to ensure timely completion of regulatory commitments.
• Prepare executive summaries, status updates, meeting materials, and governance reporting for senior leadership committees.
• Support enterprise initiatives related to OSFI guidelines including B-10, B-13, operational resilience, third-party risk management, and regulatory governance.
• Assist in change management and stakeholder communication activities related to regulatory and operational process changes.
• Ensure documentation and business processes remain aligned with internal policies, governance standards, and regulatory expectations.
Candidate Requirements / Must-Have Skills
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, Regulatory Consultant, or Governance Analyst within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of Canadian banking regulatory environments and OSFI compliance frameworks.
• Experience supporting regulatory, governance, risk management, audit, or compliance-related business initiatives.
• Strong experience conducting business process reviews, gap analysis, and operational assessments.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder discussions and documenting business requirements and procedural changes.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational capabilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced regulatory environment.
Nice-To-Have Skills
• Experience supporting OSFI B-10, B-13, operational resilience, third-party risk, or enterprise governance programs.
• Previous experience working within Top 5 Canadian Banks or large financial institutions.
• Familiarity with audit remediation, policy governance, or enterprise risk management programs.
• Experience preparing materials for regulatory reviews, executive governance committees, or internal audits.
• Knowledge of compliance lifecycle management and regulatory reporting processes.

Degrees or Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or related field required.
• Certifications such as CBAP, CAMS, CRCM, PMP, or Risk Management credentials are considered an asset.
