Typical Day in Role
• Partner with Treasury, Risk Management, Finance, and Regulatory Reporting teams to support liquidity risk management initiatives and governance activities.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to liquidity monitoring, funding management, stress testing, and regulatory reporting processes.
• Conduct business process reviews and gap assessments to identify opportunities for operational improvements and enhanced regulatory compliance.
• Support initiatives related to Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR), cash flow forecasting, and internal liquidity risk metrics.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and working sessions to document business processes, operational controls, and reporting requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of governance materials, executive reporting decks, and senior management presentations related to liquidity risk exposures and compliance activities.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders to support policy updates, procedural enhancements, and control framework alignment activities.
• Support audit, compliance, and regulatory review activities by preparing documentation, evidence, and remediation tracking materials.
• Analyze liquidity risk data, reporting trends, and operational processes to support business decision-making and risk oversight.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory commitments, reporting timelines, and governance deliverables are completed on schedule.
• Assist in developing future-state operating models and process improvements within Treasury and Liquidity Risk Management functions.
• Support change management and stakeholder communication activities associated with process or regulatory changes.
Candidate Requirements / Must-Have Skills
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, Treasury Analyst, or Risk Management Consultant within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of liquidity risk management principles, Treasury operations, and regulatory reporting frameworks within Canadian banking environments.
• Experience supporting liquidity risk initiatives including LCR, NSFR, funding risk, liquidity stress testing, or cash flow management activities.
• Strong experience conducting business analysis, process mapping, operational assessments, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Experience working with Risk Management, Treasury, Finance, or Regulatory Reporting teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced regulatory and risk management environment.
Nice-To-Have Skills
• Knowledge of OSFI liquidity guidelines and Basel III liquidity risk frameworks.
• Experience supporting enterprise risk management, Treasury transformation, or regulatory remediation initiatives.
• Familiarity with liquidity reporting processes and governance committee reporting.
• Previous experience working within Top 5 Canadian Banks or large financial institutions.
• Exposure to audit remediation, control governance, or operational risk programs.
• Knowledge of financial products including deposits, loans, funding instruments, and capital markets products.

Degrees or Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Risk Management, or related field required.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, PRM, CBAP, or PMP are considered an asset.
